Closing Women's Month (Dignity Packs Donation)

About Dignity Packs Donation

Banareng Group together with other Glencore Lydenburg Smelter business partners donated dignity packs to 5 locals schools around Mashishing as part of closing the Women's Month 2017.
The dignity packs included bath soaps, face cloths and sanitary towels. This is in an endeavor to minimize absenteeism due to young women missing missing school when they are on their menstrual cycles. Young women should be taken care of and must be dignified even if they poverty stricken. The initiative has impacted positively on the lives of 100 people for the next 6 months

About Banareng Soccer Tournament

This is an initiative by Banareng Group to give back to the community. The soccer tournament was organised by Banareng Group assisted by other local companies around Mashishing Lydenburg the likes of TM Mantsha Engineering, Wilotito, Glenkom, Mandla & Veliswa, Uphupholwethu, Thembalwethu, Thuthukani Basebenzi, KG Mdola, Extramile, Black Bull, Isicebi and TNP Engineering just to mention a few. We would like to thank these companies for their efforts in making this event a success. The event was also graced by Member of Parliament  Mrs. F Nkadimeng, Mr Issac Msibi (Director of Happy Sounds) who donated R10 000.00, Speaker of  Thaba Chweu Local Municipality Council Hon Tiny Mabuza, Hon T.M Mashego(MMC) and Hon J. Malepe.

This marked the beginning of yet another yearly project in Lydenburg and surrounding areas to shine the light, provide entertainment through sports and reward the winning teams. This year the winning team, Coromandel Kings took home a full soccer kit and a whooping R7500.

Since it was Mandela month the companies did play part and closed the Mandela month by donating full school uniforms to 60 destitute pupils.
